I've loved this movie for a long time and was really excited that there was finally going to be a special edition dvd released. Johnny Depp is my favourite actor and Tim Burton is truly the greatest director, he's a genious! Everytime they both do a movie together it always turns out to be really amazing. Johnny is hilarious and played Ed extremely well. Martin Landau was also excellent in it too. This movie is fantastic and I definately recommend it.

The extras were really great and I loved the menus too.

Let’s Shoot This F#*%@r!: This behind the scenes featurette is introduced by Johnny, and shows the filming of several scenes, with Tim Burton working with Johnny, Martin Landau, etc.

The Theremin: The composer, Howard Shore talks about the music in the film, and how they recorded the Theremin track. There is also demonstration and explanation by Mark Segal of how a Theremin works and is played.

Making Bela: A tribute to Bela Lugosi, with Martin Landau talking about how he portrayed him. Rick Baker, the makeup supervisor, talks about how he transformed Landau into Lugosi, and how much he wanted to do this project.

Pie Plates Over Hollywood: Production designer Tom Duffield shows how he created the look of the film through his sketches and also talks about the difficulties of filming in black & white.

5 deleted scenes: 'Breaking In' and 'Escape' - about stealing the octopus, 'Dinner at the Johnson's' - Tor's family life before the end of the movie, 'Sleep Over' - Ed spending the night with a friend, and 'Que Sera Sera' - Bunny singing and walking through a meat packing plant with a mariachi band.

Commentary: Tim Burton, Martin Landau, co-writers Larry Karaszewski and Scott Alexander, costume designer Colleen Atwood, and DP Stefan Czpsky narrate the film in an alternate audio track. They talk about how they first encountered Ed Wood’s films and how they felt about them. They also talked about most of the aspects of the movie. It's interesting to hear about it all.
